What I've done...
I have been playing guitar for almost as long as I am! At the age of 10 I picked up a guitar, played a little blues lick and have been "Spreading the Love" ever since! At the age of 17 I was jammin in London with Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart and since moving back to NYC in the 80s I have opened for and jammed with some incredible folks like the Pointer Sisters, Maceo Parker, Debbie Davies and a bunch of lesser known but equally incredible musicians like Butch and Wendy Taylor, Vicki Genfan, Namoli Brennet, Rachel Sage, Trina Hamlin and the list goes on and on...

Over the years I have been in a lot of bands, but the most influential band experience has been with Sisterfunk, a band that I helped form in 2001 with Denise Troy, Tina Jean and Wendy Taylor. We added Amy Blaze shortly after and had a blast for 5 years touring around! I left in 2006 to pursue other avenues but will always be grateful to my sisters of funk. I still play and record with them occasionally and it is always joyful and fun.

Thoughts on self...
Even though I have been playing and singing for many years and I am only just now beginning to call myself a musician. For me it has been a fascinating and fruitful exploration of myself, learning many lessons and finding out who I am. My idea of bliss is losing myself in the note completely...being in the circle and feeling the energy lift as the spiral takes hold and pulls me higher. The less I am thinking the better. My inspiration flows when I let go of myself as I...I become one with everything around me. That is when my creativity rocks! My favorite artists are people who are unafraid to show their hearts... hurt in or happy. I never liked my voice very much but I am liking it more and more these days. I don't hit all of the notes perfectly but..so what! It's coming from my heart. My Soul.

My gear...
I play a 1976 Fender Strat through a Fender Deluxe using Boss pedals.
That's the sound I love. I play a 1974 Gibson Hummingbird  when I'm recording acoustic and I have a cool Tacoma Chief semi- acoustic which has great action.
